Project 365 Day 120 - April 29th

For weeks I've been trying to get a picture of the beautiful cardinals that love to sing in the trees outside my windows.  I finally succeeded as we were headed to church this morning.  I saw this one on the branch in front of where the car was parked so I pulled out my camera (yes, I take it to church with me too) and snapped a couple of photos right before it flew away.

Project 365 Day 77 - March 17th

As I sat by the pool relaxing with my kids - well, I was relaxing while my 3-year old chased a ball around and my 8-year old splashed in the pool - I kept hearing the chirping of a nearby bird.  I was excited to see that I had a clear view of it in a nearby tree.

Project 365 Day 14 - January 14th

Last week I told you about a bird nest my daughter found while scouting photo opportunities with my around our complex.  I had promised her we would go back to reshoot it for a photo one day soon - today was that day.  The weather, although cool, was sunny and clear so we jumped at the opportunity.

I have to say that trying to get more outdoor shots this time around is definitely making me open my eyes up more to the beauty of the things around me.  And I love that my daughter is doing the same - she has loved going out with me looking for something to shoot.
