It's been less than two weeks since the kids and I planted our tomato seeds. This is the second year in a row we're going to attempt to grow our own tomatoes - maybe we'll have some success this time. Last year we planted them too late in the season, plus we failed to pay attention to the instructions regarding how deep to plant them. So far we seem to be having some luck so we'll have to keep watering and watching to see what happens.

Project 365 Day 71 - March 11th
Today's picture reminds me that the beauty in an object may not always lie in what you see... sometimes the beauty comes from what you don't see. Take these terracotta pots, for instance - they appear to be battered and worn, empty and in need of being thrown out. What you don't see is that every Spring my neighbor uses these pots to plant basil, flowers, and whatever else she is in the mood to grow and share with her friends.
